The Sarnia Golden Bears were named in recognition of the 1956-1961 championship Sarnia Golden Bears team winning the 1958 and 1959 Ontario Rugby Football Union (ORFU) before joining the American Football Conference in 1961 The Sarnia Golden Bears will honor the history of Football in Sarnia.
Fall Travel Football
June - October
Sarnia Golden Bears play in the Eastern Suburban Football League (ESFL) based out of Michigan in close proximity to Sarnia. The ESFL is comprised of teams from Detroit, Warren, St Clair, Port Huron, St George and Hazel and have been operating as not-for-profit for 50 years!
With four separate divisions determined by age there is a team for youth from ages 6-13.
Divisions are comprised of:
Ages 6 - 7

Freshman Tackle
Ages 10 - 11
Junior Varsity Tackle
Ages 12 - 13
Varsity Tackle
Practices will be held in Sarnia with 6 regular season games taking place in Michigan and Sarnia. All teams play 11 vs 11 players with USA football 4 down football. *Practices take place in Sarnia
Registration Fee = $250.00
